The league was predominantly on cup duty match day 3. In-fact the only league fixture of the day saw Anchorians get off the mark away to Long Lane, beating them 2-1. Both teams will take plenty of positives from improved performances across the board.
Onto match day 4 and it rained. Then it rained some more. Only one fixture escaped the weather and that was over on the 3g pitch at Hartsdown Park. Margate though will be wishing the weather got the better as they went down 4-0 to Herne Bay. Even this early Herne Bay are looking the team to beat, a solid defence and strikers who know where the back of the net is, they’ve set down a marker to the rest of the league.
Herne Bay go 3pts clear at the top, with the Stones having a game in hand. Margate stay 3rd with Thamesview making up the top4.
Onto Matchday 5 and the Stones are at home to Faversham Strike Force at the Gallagher.
